An example of a typical Lambeg Skin (Not for Resale)

This skin was originally on the Traditional Lambeg Drum - once damaged it can no longer be repaired and as the Bodhrán is a much smaller drum, the skin can be recycled.

Please Note:  We use Natural Goat Skin and therefore the skins vary in density and texture, some may be quite see-through and others have small markings - these are all natural and do not affect the quality of the skin.  (The white skins are processed and mainly supplied from abroad)

This is a perfect cross-culture - cross-community initiative and where possible Paul will apply the Lambeg skin to his bodhráns when they are available.

It’s a beautifully made instrument and a credit to your craft. As a former craftsman and Clerk of Works I believe I’m well qualified to tell you your skills are second to none. I also appreciate the effort you made with the ebony veneer. Thanks again. Regards,John.
