Tuneable Range of Bodhráns
All our bodhráns are made from start to finish by Paul McAuley who prides himself in producing a bodhrán which will give joy and music for many years to come. The skins we source come from the goat although we can sometimes be lucky enough to obtain skins from our local Lambeg maker (these skins t are too small for the Lambeg makers so we are lucky enough to be able to source them). Please Note: We only use Natural Goat Skin and therefore the skins vary in density and texture, some may be quite see-through and others have small markings - these are all natural and do not affect the quality of the skin. (The white skins are processed and mainly supplied from abroad). All our tuneables come with a hand turned tuner, turned by Paul. We also offer one standard beater free of charge with each bodhran purchased. A bag is a good idea for storage or taking your bodhrán to a gig or session. Check the availability and correct size of bags before ordering as these are a popular item. All design applied on the Fixed skin bodhráns are applied by Paul (No Transfers). It is not common practice to add a design on a tuneable due to the amount of playing the bodhrán will get. Important: When ordering a Tuneable Bodhrán please specify if you want a "bar" or "No Bar" - email or phone confirmation of your requirements. We live in the beautiful North Antrim coast area of Northern Ireland where we have the famous Nine Glens of Antrim and the famous Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge on our door-step and so we have named some of our bodhrán range for our popular Glens. Our Glenariffe and Glentaisie range of bodhrán has what is referred to as a "Fixed skin" and we offer rim finished in medium oak We have found experience the Ebony rim to be the most popular finish on our tuneable range. The Glenariffe fixed-skin 15" bodhrán has a single-bar and the Glentaisie fixed-skin 18" is fitted with a cross-bar. The skin we use is from the goat and we try, where possible, to share our skins with the Lambeg drum makers. All bodhráns come complete with one beater/tipper. We carry a range of bags suitable for most of the bodhrans sizes we make but before ordering please confirm we have the size you require in stock. The Nine Glens of Antrim are: Glenarm, Glencloy, Glenariff, Glenballyeamon, Glenaan, Glencrop, Glendun, Glenshesk, and Glentaisie Unfortunately we can't assume responsibility and don't accept liability for any damage or loss which may arise during transit, as we also can’t assume responsibility for orders received later than expected - We trust the Postal Service and although every effort is made, on our part, to complete your orders on time it is entirely outside our control when delivery is made.
